Internship – Electrical Engineer

UnitedSiC is a rapidly growing startup company that develops Silicon Carbide based power devices. These devices are increasingly being adopted in EVs and Renewable energy systems. We are seeking an intern that is currently studying in the field of power devices, wide bandgap or power electronics.  The candidate needs to have relevant lab experience, be a fast learner, able to work with moderate supervision and perform work carefully, safely and accurately.

Internship activities may involve

Assisting Application Engineers with testing of the switching characteristics of UnitedSiC power switches.

Contributing to application notes that make it easier for users to extract the maximum efficiency benefit from these devices and avoid pitfalls.

Learning how loss calculations are performed for different applications and for correct device selection.

Performing efficiency and related testing for various application demos.

Performing specialized tests for SiC devices intended for DC breaker and current limiting applications.


Bachelor EE degree with relevant coursework in semiconductor devices, analog circuits, power electronics.

Laboratory experience with semiconductor parametric testers, EE labs, Oscilloscopes and function generators.

Proficiency with Labview/Matlab/JMP/SPICE.
