Product Test Engineer – Recent Grad

UnitedSiC is seeking a Product Test Engineer to support United Silicon Carbide’s Silicon Carbide (SiC) Product Engineering activities by working closely with your manager, commercial operations, and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

SiC power semiconductor products (wafers to power modules) product characterization, data analysis and preparation of associated reports. Draw conclusions and identify next actions based on the analyzed data.

Yield reporting and analysis via JMP & SQL database tools. Analyze and recommend actions.

Update and create product test specifications as guided by your manager and/or device engineers. Create ECOs, implement updates and prepare database functions.

Related test equipment maintenance, calibrations, and debugging.

Support quality department with product-related fault analysis & simulation, 8D support & support Quality improvement program. Summarize and document findings.


BS/BA in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity in semiconductor devices, analog circuits, power electronics preferred.

Laboratory experience with semiconductor parametric testers, EE labs, Oscilloscopes and function generators preferred.

Familiar with data analytical tools (JMP, Minitab, etc.), database technology (SQL etc.) and scripting languages (Visual Basic, Python, LabVIEW, SQL, …)

Excellent analytical skills: critical thinking, problem solving and data analysis.

Good hand coordination: must be able to handle small items and wafers with tweezers.

Good written and verbal communications skills.

Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision.

Ability to independently work in an ever-changing environment and manage multiple tasks.

Ability to function and contribute in a team environment with all levels of employees.
