Test and PCB Layout Technician/Applications Technician

UnitedSiC is a rapidly growing startup company that develops Silicon Carbide based power devices. These devices are increasingly being adopted in EVs and Renewable energy systems. We are seeking an experienced technician to handle a range of measurement, PCB layout and PCB assembly as well as data gathering tasks.  The candidate needs to have relevant prior experience, be a fast learner, able to work with moderate supervision and perform work carefully, safely and accurately.


Perform power electronic circuit testing directed by Applications engineers. Involves efficiency and temperature measurements, waveform capture.

Assist with PCB layout and assembly of test circuits/demo boards as needed.

Manage Calibration and Maintenance of lab test equipment.

Assist product engineer with datasheet characterization work for SiC products.


Associates degree with relevant coursework in semiconductor devices, analog circuits.

3-10 years lab experience. Familiarity with oscilloscopes, power supplies, pulse/waveform generators and other typical electronics lab equipment.

Experienced with PCB assembly, Soldering and de-soldering. Basic open-short debugging.

Familiarity to Altium or other PCB layout tools, and basics of PCB design is preferred.

Familiarity with the instrument control using LabVIEW or other software is preferred.
